The site plan mainly shows the access at the front of the site with multiple walkways starting from accessible parking to the main entrance. Also there is a patio with screen of trees on the left end and existing building on the right.

DESIGN CONCEPT

The main design intent for fire station is to ensure maximum safety and healthy environment for firefighters.
This proposal fulfills all of the client's requirements promoting flexibility and quality of living.
The main focus during the design phase was to separate contaminated & decontaminated zones to avoid health risks.
Other concept was to provide a simple look from outside with clarity of separation of spaces with exterior material.
This building also has sustainable elements like natural lighting in the open spaces inside the building, green roof & efficient exterior materials.

The plan is divided into three zones where red is hot/ most contaminated zone, yellow is warm / semi contaminated zone & green is cool/ decontaminated zone.

LOCKERS: Being a crucial space,it was a main requirement to separate lockers from the contaminated area such as change and shower rooms.This proposed layout helps to fulfill the strategy to maintain healthy environment.
