DESIGN CONCEPT: Shield provides a protective cover or shelter that acts as a veil to keep secured from danger and against attack. Shield acts as a barrier between the person and the environment that is not appropriate or safe for us. The firefighters perform their duties and save others by risking their own lives and thus, deserve a place that is safe and protected for them. My idea for the renovation of this fire-station is to provide a “shield” to the firefighters which can safeguard them with a good spatial separation and make them feel comfortable by giving them the required privacy and shelter,  without having to compromise their well-being.

The proposed site plan is similar to the existing site plan with slight changes on the west side where the new addition has been done. Green roof has been proposed to provide sustainability.
